On 03/14 we inaugurated the new San Lorenzo Cogeneration plant, the largest and most efficient electric power and steam plant in the country.
Our General Manager, Fernando Bonnet, was present at the opening ceremony; the Undersecretary of Energy of the Nation, Federico Basualdo; the Governor of the province of Santa Fe, Omar Perotti; the Mayor of the city of Puerto Gral. San Martín, Carlos De Grandis; representatives of CAMMESA, Terminal 6, contractors and collaborators, among others.
The magnitude of this project and its importance for the national electrical system can be summarized in the following data:
⚡ 330 MW of total installed power (equivalent to the energy demanded by 220 thousand 🏠💨 340 Tn/h steam export capacity, at two different pressures (7 and 13 bars). 🌱 700 tons reduced CO² emissions. 🌫️ 450dm3/day savings generated in the consumption of natural gas. 📏 2 vaporducts of more than 1.5km in length each. 👷🏻 700 people involved in the construction process over three years.
