RENEWABLE ENERGY SUBSIDIARIES OF CENTRAL PUERTO ISSUE GREEN BOND FOR US$50 MILLION

Yesterday, the subsidiaries of Central Puerto CP Manque and CP Los Olivos, carried out a placement of Green Bonds in the Argentine market (“the Co-issuance”) for the equivalent of US$ 50 million, destined to finance these companies dedicated to the generation of electrical energy from renewable sources, replacing existing debt.

The placement had a dollar-linked tranche, integrated in Argentine pesos, for US$ 35 million (ticker: OMC1) with a maturity of three years, and a tranche in pesos with a maturity of one year for the equivalent of US$ 15 million ( ticker: WTO2).

The companies, whose wind farms are located in the town of Achiras, Province of Córdoba, have a joint installed power of 80 MW and began operations between December 2019 and March 2020, with a generation of 345 GWh per year, which It is sold directly to customers through long-term supply contracts under the regulation of the Renewable Energy Term Market (MATER).

This production is the equivalent of the energy needed to supply 88,000 homes and is expected to help avoid the emission of 230,000 tons of carbon dioxide, generating a positive impact on the environment. In this sense, the issuance was recognized by Fix Ratings, an affiliate of Fitch Ratings, with the Green Bond rating (BV1) since it is aligned with the four main components of the 2018 Green Bond Principles (GBP) of the ICMA (International Capital Market Association).

Additionally, these Negotiable Obligations were included in the Social, Green and Sustainable Bonds Panel (SVS) of the Argentine Stock Exchange and Markets (BYMA), being the first to be included therein since the issuance of the instruments.
