Central Puerto is established through the acquisition of assets of the public company Servicios Eléctricos del Gran Buenos Aires (SEGBA). The Nuevo Puerto and Puerto Nuevo Plants are of the steam turbogroup (TV) type, with five units as a whole and a total installed capacity of 949 MW.
Linking of the concession of the Piedra Del Águila Hydroelectric Power Plant (Neuquén), which has four Francis turbines and their associated generators with an installed capacity of 1,440 MW.
The Nuevo Puerto Complex Combined Cycle Unit (Buenos Aires) comes into operation with an installed power of 798 MW, totaling 1,747 MW of total installed capacity of the complex.
• Expansion of the business portfolio with the acquisition of 480 MW in the Mendoza Thermal Power Plant (Mendoza) and the La Plata Cogeneration Power Plant (Buenos Aires), which was later sold to YPF in 2017.
• Achievement of the first Renewable Energy milestone with the authorization of commercial operation of the renewable hydraulic turbine located in the Luján de Cuyo Complex (Mendoza) with a 1 MW Ossberger brand turbine and generator.
