Last Friday, May 5, we inaugurated the new Effluent Treatment Plant at our Thermal Power Plant in Luján de Cuyo (Mendoza), which represents important improvements in the evaporation pools in the event of possible contingencies.
It is important to note that the effluents from the industrial process are reused for the #Irrigation of gardens and groves of the plant, and that due to the new regulations of the General Department of Irrigation (Mendoza Water Authority), the irrigation water From now on it will be monitored online by said authority.
For our part, this represents a very important milestone not only from the point of view of #EnvironmentalCommitment and compliance with the company’s integrated policy, but also from the investment it represented in relation to:
✔ 12,807 m3 of soil movements
✔ 100 m3 of reinforced concrete.
✔ 10. 264 m2 of geotextile and 1.5 mm high-density polyethylene geomembrane.
✔ 362 linear meters of high-density polyethylene pipe, with diameters varying from 75 mm to 1,500 mm.
✔ Installation of the MIDO System – New effluent water quality control – and new control panel that includes a flowmeter, conductivity meter and pH meter.
✔ New feeding of pool pumps.
✔ 2 Nano bubble devices to promote biological degradation and improve water quality.
