CENTRAL PUERTO ANNOUNCES COMMERCIAL AUTHORATION FOR COMBINED CYCLE OF THE VUELTA DE OBLIGADO THERMAL POWER PLANT (779 MW)

Buenos Aires, March 21 – Central Puerto (“Central Puerto”) (NYSE: CEPU), the largest private electricity generation company in Argentina, by energy produced, announces the commercial authorization as a combined cycle of the Vuelta de Obligado Thermal Power Plant with an installed capacity of 779 MW (net power), as of 0:00 on March 20, 2018.

As a consequence of such Commercial Qualification, and in accordance with the provisions of the “Agreement for the Management and Operation of Projects, Increase of the Availability of Thermal Generation and Adjustment of the Remuneration of Generation 2008-2011” signed on November 25, 2010 between the then Ministry of Energy and Central Puerto S.A., together with other generators (the “Agreement”), Central Puerto S.A. will be entitled to receive a refund of its receivables represented by the LVDVs 2008-2011, after adding the interest rate stipulated in Article 3 of the Agreement. In accordance with the aforementioned Agreement, Central Puerto S.A., together with other generators (the “Agreement”), will be entitled to receive the return of its claims represented by the LVDV 2008-2011, once the interest rate stipulated in Article 3 of Resolution SE No. 406/03 is added and converted to U.S. currency (U$S) as of the date of signature of the 2008-2011 Agreement, this capital has, since the signature thereof, an annual return equivalent to that obtained by applying a rate of LIBOR 30 days + 5%.
It is reported that the result described in the previous paragraph will be determined and included in the financial statements corresponding to the three-month period that will end on March 31, 2018. The aforementioned financial statements will be subject to the limited review procedures of the Company’s auditor.
