CENTRAL PUERTO ACQUIRES ITS FIRST SOLAR FARM: GUAÑIZUIL II A
Central Puerto, the largest producer of electrical energy nationwide, acquired its first “Guañizuil II A” Solar Farm from the Norwegian companies SCATEC and EQUINOR, located in the province of San Juan. It has 358,560 panels, an electrical generation of approximately 300 GWh/year and a nominal power of 117MWdc.

The San Juan park, which has been operating for two years, has a capacity factor of 33%, exceeding the average for the region, which allows it to produce energy to supply the demand of 86,000 homes. This virtue positions it as the third largest in Argentina and one of the best in the world.

This new acquisition represents confirmation of our commitment assumed in recent years to increase performance in the renewable energy market, producing sustainable energy in harmony with the environment. On the other hand, it is a clear sign that we continue investing in high-tech generation projects and betting on our country.”said Fernando Bonnet, general manager of Central Puerto.

With this incorporation, Central Puerto will generate 9.6% of the country’s solar energy, reaching 475 MW of renewable energy, of which 80% corresponds to wind energy and 20% to solar energy.
