In the AlmaGBA tender, Central Puerto came in first and second place with the two most competitive bids, adding 205 MW of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity, distributed across two strategic projects: Nuevo Puerto, capable of injecting 150 MW of power for 5 hours, and Costanera, with 55 MW of power for 5 hours. The estimated investment in both developments amounts to USD 130 million. This addition will enable peak demand needs to be met in the AMBA area, optimize grid stability, and increase the reliability of the electrical system. Construction will begin at the end of this year, with commissioning scheduled for 2026.

2. Central Puerto announced the acquisition of the Cafayate Solar Park, located 10 km from the city of Cafayate, in the province of Salta. With 80 MW of installed capacity and an annual generation of 220 GWh—equivalent to the consumption of 56,400 households. This solar park has been in operation for six years and sells its energy under the RenovAr 1.5 contract with CAMMESA. The transaction involved an investment of approximately USD 50 million.

3. The construction of the Alamitos Wind Farm, located opposite our existing La Genoveva I Wind Farm, 30 km from the city of Bahía Blanca. The farm will have an installed capacity of 111 MW and will be capable of generating 500 GWh of clean energy per year, enough to supply 128,200 homes. With an investment of USD 140 million, it is expected to begin operations towards the end of 2027.

4. Completion of the combined cycle at the Brigadier López Power Plant (Sauce Viejo, Santa Fe province). With an investment of US$180 million, this project will add an additional 140 MW to the current capacity of 292 MW, reaching a total of 432 MW. This development will enable the supply of electricity to more than 300,000 homes, strengthen the electrical system, and generate local employment. Completion is scheduled for December 2025.

5. The construction of the first San Carlos Solar Park in Salta, a few kilometers from Cafayate, which is expected to come online at the end of November 2025. With an investment of USD 20 million, 15 MW of power, and a projected generation of 45 GWh per year—equivalent to the consumption of 11,500 households—this project will expand Central Puerto’s presence in the NOA and contribute 100% renewable energy to the interconnected system.

“These investments are a manifestation of our commitment to the country’s development.
